JAMES – Doolittle Mayor Paul Smith was re-elected president of the Meramec Regional Building (MRB) Corporation at its meeting June 9 at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC). Also re-elected for the 2011-12 fiscal year were: Vice Chairman Ron Jost, Gasconade County presiding commissioner, and Secretary/Treasurer Darrell Skiles, Dent County presiding commissioner. The slate of officers was recommended by MRPC’s External Relations/Membership Committee, and there were no other nominations from the floor. The MRB board also approved its FY 2011-12 budget with anticipated revenues of $283,356 and expenses of $280,595. The MRB Corporation is a non-profit organization that owns the assets – building, computers, cars, etc. – used by Meramec Regional Planning Commission. The MRB board is made up of officials of cities and counties in the Meramec Region. The MRB Corporation board will meet immediately following the Aug. 11 MRPC meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at its office at 4 Industrial Drive in St. James. All meetings are open to the public. |
