MRB Corporation elects 2012-13 slate of officers
ST. JAMES – Doolittle Mayor Paul Smith was re-elected president of the Meramec Regional Building (MRB) Corporation at its meeting May 10 at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC).
Also elected for the 2012-13 fiscal year were: Vice President Leo Sanders, presiding commissioner of Crawford County; and Secretary/Treasurer Darrell Skiles, presiding commissioner of Dent County.
Sanders replaces Ron Jost, presiding commissioner of Gasconade County, who had served as vice president since 2010. Jost had also served as MRB secretary/treasurer from 2004 to 2009.
The slate of officers was recommended by MRPC’s External Relations/Membership Committee, and there were no other nominations from the floor.
Terms for the newly elected MRB officers will begin in June.
The MRB Corporation is a non-profit organization that owns the assets – building, computers, cars, etc. – used by Meramec Regional Planning Commission. The MRB board is made up of officials of cities and counties in the Meramec Region.
The MRB Corporation board will meet immediately following the June 14 MRPC meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at its office at 4 Industrial Drive in St. James. All meetings are open to the public.
