Disposal locations for appliances, batteries, motor oil, recyclables, tires and yard waste are listed below and seperated by county in each category. This information is regularly updated, but we recommend contacting the business before taking your item to ensure that services are still available. Phone numbers are listed for each business and/or city.

Curbside pickup is available on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month
during warmer seasons. Tree limbs with diameters less than three inches are
the only accepted items. No leaves or grass clippings. By appointment only.

Curbside pickup is available once each year during spring clean up. Tree limbs
must be bundled for pickup. Drop-off is available at the city compost pile on
McCormick Street, behind the city park. Brush and tree limbs may be dropped
off at this site and should not be bagged or bundled.

Curbside pickup of bagged leaves, grass clippings, tree limbs and yard waste
is available on Tuesdays by appointment only. Drop-off is available at the city
compost pile located at the city lake property near the fairgrounds. Composted
mulch may be purchased from the city.

Curbside service is available on the first and third Mondays of the month. Leaves
must be placed in biodegradable bags and tree limbs must be bundled. Bags are
sold by the city 10 bags/$2.50.

Leaves (not bagged) and tree limbs (not bundled) may be taken to the city's
compost site on Highway 100. Residents may pickup the key from city hall during
normal business hours. Curbside collection of leaves is available during autumn
months.

City residents must contact the street department before bringing brush and
tree limbs to the city's compost pile on Oak Street. Mulch is sometimes available.

Curbside pickup of yard waste is available each week on regular trash day (biodegradable
bags only), except during winter months. Christmas trees can be left on the
curb during January or taken to the Rolla Recycling Center for free recycling
at 2141 Old St. James Road.

Leaves (not bagged), brush and tree limbs (not bundled) may be taken to city's
compost site on North Springfield Road near the Industrial Park. Leaves are
sometimes picked up at curbside during autumn months.

Tree trimmings can be taken to city's compost site on Keith Road after picking
up key from city hall during normal business hours.

Fort residents may take leaves (not in bags) and tree limbs to compost site
on Range Road #3, past the airport. Trees may also be accepted after being inspected.
The trees are then used for firewood, which is often available.

Tree limbs, grass, leaves and brush can be taken to the city's compost site
at 1250 N. Pine St. Residents may stop by city hall during normal business hours
to obtain the key to the compost site.

Curbside pickup of tree limbs is available to city residents. Pickup days differ
for each part of the city. Contact city hall for curbside information. Tree
limbs must have a diameter less than four inches and a length less than 48 inches.
