The Gasconade Valley Enterprise Zone Board will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007,  at the Chamois Lions Club, Chamois, MO.

AGENDA

I.          Welcome, Call to Order and Introductions —President Jim Decker

II.        Review and approval of minutes  (Action needed on minutes from the July meeting.)

III.       Financials and Administrative Report—Bonnie Prigge, MRPC
            Staff will update the board on events since the July meeting. Items to be discussed include:
            •  Financial report (Action needed on financials.).
            •  Update on third-part review schedule
            •  Final report on fund-raising campaign
            •  Update on economic development legislation.

IV.       Transportation/GO 50 Update—Jim Decker/Bonnie Prigge
            Bonnie  will update the board on transportation developments, including the new $140 million Amendment 3 money, the  Investment Priorities planning process and the Jefferson City Chamber's efforts to fund a study to show the feasibility of Highway 50 serving as an alternate to I-70. The board will be asked to approve the submission of the $5,000 pledge to Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce for the study.

V.        Review of Website on Enterprise Zones
            Bonnie will share with the board the progress so far on the enhanced enterprise zone website information.

VI.       Discussion on an Enhanced Enterprise Zone for Belle, Bland and Owensville
            An area comprising Belle, Bland and the Owensville qualifies as an enhanced enterprise zone. All three communities have expressed interest in the idea. In order to move forward, it is recommended that GVEZ invite the three cities to the next GVEZ meeting and discuss the EEZ program and determine their interest in a joint application. If interest exists, the application could be started.

VII.     Community/Economic Development Update/ Board Member Reports:
            Time is set aside for board members to give updates on items of interest.
           
VIII.    Upcoming Meetings
             Tentative meeting schedule: Dec. 6—Linn……….Note: If the cities of Belle, Bland and Owensville are
 invited to the December meeting, it may be better to have it in a more central location to encourage
attendance.
