AGENDA
- Welcome and Introductions – Bob Hutson, Chair
- Report on December State Homeland Security Advisory Committee Meeting – Bob Hutson and Staff
Chairman Hutson and Tammy Snodgrass attended the December meeting of the State Homeland Security Advisory Committee and will report on discussions and activities of that group.
- Welcome School Representatives and Explain Selection Process – Staff
The governor has issued an executive order placing a representative of local schools on the HSOCs and Region I has invited representatives from school districts through out the region. These representatives will meet following the meeting to select a representative and alternate for the HSOC.
- Discussion of Grant Administrative Fee – Staff
One grant item that was not discussed in December was the three percent grant administration cost associated with the regional grants. Staff will discuss at least two options for covering the cost of procuring equipment and completing the necessary reports for SEMA/Homeland Security. The committee will need to decide on which option.
- Review and Discussion of Region I’s Grant Application - Staff.
Staff will go over the grant application that has been prepared on behalf of the HSOC. This will be an opportunity for committee members to make suggestions for strengthening the application and for staff to answer any questions the committee may have. The committee will need to approve the application before it is submitted by the January 31, 2007 deadline.
- Information Sharing – HSOC members
This is an opportunity for HSOC members to share information on issues, upcoming training opportunities, discipline activities that are occurring in the region.
