HOUSING ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
Minutes
March 8, 2007

Call to Order

Ed Worley called the March 8, 2007 meeting of the Phelps County PHA Housing Advisory Board to order at 5:37 p.m. The meeting was held at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission.

Members Present

Ed Worley, Darrell Skiles, Ray Schwartze, Randy Verkamp, Robert Reed

Staff Present

Richard Cavender, Linda Hollandsworth and Tammy Rigsby

Visitors Present

None

Approval of Minutes

Robert Reed made a motion to approve the minutes from the October 12, 2006 meeting. It was seconded by Ray Schwartze. The motion carried.

Welcome Newly Elected Commissioners

Linda Hollandsworth welcomed our newly elected commissioners Darrell Skiles and Ray Schwartze and gave them a copy of the Administration Plan for the Phelps County PHA. Mrs. Hollandsworth also explained how the program works as well as the Family Self-Sufficiency Program and the Homeownership Program.

Election of Officers

Ron Jost moved to Chairman and Randy Verkamp moved to Vice-Chairman. Robert Reed made a motion to elect Ray Schwartze as the new Secretary.  It was seconded by Darrell Skiles. The motion carried.

Utilization of HAP

Linda Hollandsworth brought the board up to date on the number of families assisted and the amount of housing assistance payments for all 6 counties.

Family Self-Sufficiency Action Plan Update

Linda Hollandsworth brought the board up to date on the changes made to the FSS Action Plan. Robert Reed made a motion to approve those changes. It was seconded by Ray Schwartze. The motion carried.

New Business

Linda Hollandsworth explained to the board that the Phelps County PHA Fiscal Year 2007 1 Year Plan was approved by the State. Ray Schwartze made a motion to approve the Phelps County PHA Fiscal Year 2007 1 Year Plan. It was seconded by Robert Reed. The motion carried.

Adjourned

Darrell Skiles made a motion to adjourn at 5:58 p.m. It was seconded by Ray Schwartze. The motion carried.
