The Meramec Region Transportation Advisory Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission, 4 Industrial Drive, St. James, MO. Please come early at 3:30 p.m. and join us in some holiday cheer as we will provide light finger food (in addition to cookies) to celebrate the holidays and to say thank you for your dedication and volunteerism this past year. Please plan to attend this meeting and come early!

Call to Order & Welcome: Co-Chairman Russell Scheulen
Approval of October Minutes: Co-Chairman Russell Scheulen. Board Action Required
Regional Needs for Discussion: MRPC has been contacted about two needs in the region and residents have asked for time to explain them.
Request to resolving the flooding of Highway E in Maries County: Jamie Sturgeon of Rolla will discuss the problem of the flooding of Highway E in Maries County, which results in residents in that area not being able to access or leave their homes and prevents emergency vehicles from accessing the area. This portion of Highway E is in Maries County, which is District 5, but is maintained by District 9 because of its location. (Maximum of 10 minutes allowed for presentation. Questions to follow.)
Request for improvements at the intersection of Highway J and 100 in Gasconade County: Bernell Hoelmer of Hermann and others will present petitions requesting improvements to the intersection of Highways J and 100 in Gasconade County. This is in District 5. (Maximum of 10 minutes allowed for presentation. Questions to follow.)
Statewide Major Project Priorities: Richard Cavender / Donald Dodd
Staff will report on the outcome of major priorities state meetings held in November 19. Both investment priorities and Amendment 3 priorities were ranked. Amendment 3 priorities results are included. TAC/MRPC member Donald Dodd will also share his insight on the meeting.
Public Transit—Human Service Transportation Coordination Plan: Bonnie Prigge
Staff continues to work on the coordinated transportation plan. Staff will briefly review the needs identified so far and ask the TAC to add any that may have been missed.
Blueprint for Safer Roads: Bonnie Prigge
Staff will report on the Blueprint for Safer Roads meeting held at MRPC on December 11.
MoDOT Updates and Staff Reports: (As time allows) Districts 5 and 9 Engineers will update TAC members on local projects. MRPC staff will report.
