DOOLITTLE—Staff from Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) will be holding a Meramec Morning gathering at 9 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Doolittle Community Center, 380 Eisenhower St. These gatherings are designed to get local community leaders, non-profits, businesses and interested citizens together to discuss needs and projects in the community and learn more about MRPC.
“Our purpose for these meetings is two-fold,” MRPC Executive Director Bonnie Prigge said. “We often get the questions, ‘What is MRPC?’ and ‘What do you do?’ We want to visit our counties and share information on MRPC. We are also in the process of updating our comprehensive economic development strategy, so we want to hear what is going on in your counties and communities. What are your issues and greatest needs?”
MRPC will be visiting other Meramec Region communities in the coming months. Below is a list of tentative dates with locations to be announced soon.
For more information on Meramec Mornings, contact Prigge or Assistant Director Tammy Snodgrass at 573-265-2993 or via email at bprigge@meramecregion.org or tsnodgrass@meramecregion.org.
