The Central District Coalition for Roadway Safety awarded Belle High School a $400 Project Graduation grant to assist the school with its after graduation celebration.
Schools that successfully completed the Battle of the Belt competition were eligible to apply for the Project Graduation grant, which included cash, gift cards and promotional incentives that remind students to buckle up and drive safely.
The check and gifts were presented by Ray Schwartze, Maries County presiding commissioner and MRPC vice chairman, to high school principal Danielle Tuepker. Project Graduation parents Rick Price and Regina Gesellschap, Belle Mayor Stewart Darrah, Belle Marshal Joe Turnbough and MRPC Executive Director Bonnie Prigge were also present for the event.
MRPC is a member of the Central District Coalition for Roadway Safety.
