MARIES COUNTY—The Maries County preliminary floodplain maps are available for public comment between now and Nov. 22, 2024, at the Maries County Courthouse, 211 4th St., Vienna. Maps can also be viewed after Nov. 8 at the county assessor’s website at https://maries.integritygis.com.
The review period provides community officials and citizens an opportunity to identify changes or corrections to non-technical information, such as corporate limits, road names and stream names.
“Maries County will be getting new, digital floodplain maps in the near future,” MRPC Assistant Director Tammy Snodgrass said. “This is an opportunity to view the preliminary maps and provide input for anyone who owns property in or near flood prone areas.”
Comments may be sent to Sydney Roberts of the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency by either email at Sydney.Roberts@sema.dps.mo.gov, or by postal mail at 2302 Militia Drive, Jefferson City, MO, 65101.
