ST. JAMES—The Mobility Management Advisory Group (MMAG) unanimously elected Trudy Matlock as their new vice chairman at its monthly meeting Feb. 14 at Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC), #4 Industrial Drive, St. James. Chairman Amy Heyer resigned moving Harold Selby, St. James city administrator, into that position causing the vice-chairman vacancy.

“The MMAG plays an integral role in the development of new mobility/transportation programs, such as MORIDES,” Kelly Sink-Blair, MRPC planning and development manager said. “Representatives from transit, social services and local government come together to help guide mobility coordination to best serve the residents of the Meramec Region.”

Matlock works as the quality enhancement lead at the Department of Mental Health and Division of Developmental Disabilities Rolla satellite office. She has been involved with the MMAG since it was formed in October 2015.

The advisory group meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Times vary from afternoon to lunch meetings, so please call MRPC at 573-265-2993 to verify meeting times.

Formed in 1969, MRPC is a voluntary council of governments serving Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski and Washington counties and their respective cities. A professional staff of 25, directed by the MRPC board, offers technical assistance and services, such as grant preparation and administration, housing assistance, transportation planning, environmental planning, ordinance codification, business loans and other services to member communities.
