ST. JAMES—Meramec Regional Planning Commission, working on behalf of Ozark Rivers Solid Waste Management District (ORSWMD), is holding a public meeting on the problem of illegal dumping in Pulaski County April 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Saint Robert City Hall Courtroom.

The meeting will include short presentations and displays on the issue of illegal dumping in Pulaski County, how it impacts the residents beyond the immediate dump, across the entire county and what can be done to solve the problem.

“This meeting is intended to raise awareness about the illegal dumping problem in Pulaski County, and see if we can recruit some interested volunteers to help clean up illegal dump sites or keep an eye on sites once they’ve been cleaned up,” said Environmental Manager Tammy Snodgrass.

For more information concerning the public meeting, contact Kathryn Hawes at khawes@meramecregion.org or call 573-265-299 ext. 110.
